They both knew *of* each other. They work in a small building. Then came the day they had to connect on a work matter and after that 100 emails in the span of a week. They finally decided to meet at a dog-friendly location – a provincial park. Followed by a dog-friendly meal – drive thru. Prairie guy meets Okanagan girl…and they’d follow each other anywhere.
I met these two in downtown Kelowna as its their stomping grounds for both work and play. It was the first time I met Josh and he had me immediately when I saw him in his super stellar bear graphic shirt. I already had a girl crush on Jaimie. She had me when she gushed about her wedding venue having 80 year-old hardwood floors and velvet curtains. She did not disappoint in her tan wedge heels and ankle zipper jeans. Her plaid top matched Josh’s bear – coincidence? hmmmmm.
Jaimie and Josh are big animal lovers. Josh came into the relationship with both a cat and a dog. I know, you don’t meet a cat guy too often. Pretty sure that means he is a keeper. So, I met the ‘family’ at their place briefly for a family photo before heading up to Cedar Creek Dog Park. This is their definite favourite place to chill while Allie plays. We were met with some dramatic skies that did nothing more than threaten and gave us some beautiful lighting while we sat in the tall grass a while and the adirondacks hidden down at the shore.
